Feeding Westchester was selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of October!
The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
You can purchase your bag at the Mamaroneck Stop & Shop, located at 1326 West Boston Post Road. Feeding Westchester receives a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during October, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
Our organization was selected as the October beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Mamaroneck Stop & Shop.
“Our long-time partners for more than 24 years, Stop & Shop and the generosity of their customers have a tremendous impact on ensuring that our neighbors throughout Westchester are able to have the food they need, no matter the season,” said Karen C. Erren, President & CEO of Feeding Westchester. “We thank Stop & Shop, and their customers for their heartfelt support, of our mission to nourish our neighbors in the fight against hunger.”
Our purpose is to feed, empower, and unite our community. Our mission, to nourish our neighbors in the fight against hunger. But, the distribution of this food is only possible because of your support.
