Where Your Donation Goes

How Your Donation Makes an Impact in Westchester County

Feeding Westchester works with more than 175 community partners across Westchester County to ensure neighbors have consistent access to fresh, nutritious food.

Each month, we support over 235,000 visits from neighbors seeking food assistance—including children and seniors across our community.

Your donation helps deliver millions of pounds of food each year—nearly 40% of it fresh produce—along with proteins, dairy, and culturally meaningful foods that help families eat with dignity.

In total, that means more than 17 million meals provided annually to neighbors across Westchester County.

Bringing food directly into neighborhoods

Your donation helps fund mobile food pantry distributions across Westchester County, delivering fresh groceries directly to communities where access is limited. These distributions ensure families can receive nutritious food close to home.

Supporting 175 trusted community partners

Feeding Westchester works alongside more than 175 partners—including food pantries, soup kitchens, schools, and shelters—to ensure consistent access to food across the county. Your support strengthens this network so neighbors can receive help where they already feel safe and supported.

Helping kids and families stay nourished year-round

More than 62,000 children in Westchester rely on free or reduced-price meals. Your donation supports school pantries, weekend food programs, and community distributions that ensure children and families have reliable access to nutritious food—even outside school hours.

Helping older adults live healthier, independent lives

Donations help provide groceries and fresh produce to seniors across Westchester County, supporting better health and helping older adults maintain independence with access to consistent, nutritious food.

Rescuing millions of pounds of food each year

Your support helps recover and redistribute millions of pounds of food from retailers and donors—keeping good food out of landfills and getting it to neighbors who need it most. In FY25 alone, more than 5.1 million pounds were rescued through retail recovery efforts.

We distribute pre-packed grocery bags through senior centers and older-adult housing communities, making it easier for seniors to receive consistent, ready-to-take-home support.

Connecting families to long-term food security

Feeding Westchester helps neighbors access SNAP benefits and provides nutrition education, cooking demonstrations, and wellness resources—empowering families to build healthier, more stable futures.

Improving health through access to nutritious food

Your donation supports programs that connect food and healthcare—providing fresh groceries, nutrition support, and wraparound services for individuals managing chronic health conditions.

Reaching neighbors who cannot travel

Donations help fund home delivery programs that bring fresh food directly to families with limited mobility, including those with children, seniors, and individuals facing transportation barriers.
