ELMSFORD, NY (Feb. 14, 2024) – Feeding Westchester, will hold its annual “An Evening in Good Taste,” a premier culinary event featuring a delectable sampling of sweet and savory bites, craft beers, custom cocktails and fine wine from top chefs and drink purveyors from 39 Westchester-based restaurants on Thursday, April 18, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. More restaurants will be announced in the coming weeks.
The fundraiser returns to the stunning event space, Savor at The Westchester, 125 Westchester Ave., White Plains, NY. In addition to the tastings, the evening will offer an opportunity to bid on sought-after silent auction items such as sports outings and private dining experiences – all to raise funds to bring healthy, nutritious food to Westchester families, where 1 in 3 are at risk of hunger.
“We are excited to come together on this special evening to celebrate the culinary excellence of our favorite restauranteurs and to connect with our supporters and partners,” said Karen C. Erren, Feeding Westchester’s President & CEO. “An Evening in Good Taste is another example of the generous support from our community and all proceeds raised will help ensure that our neighbors have good, nutritious food on their tables.”
This year’s theme, “Produce Change,” will highlight the need to raise funds to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, essential to good health and overall well-being. More than 40 percent of the food distributed by Feeding Westchester each month to food pantries and feeding partners is fresh produce. To accommodate the increasing demand for and need to supply more fresh fruits and vegetables, Feeding Westchester plans to double the size of the cooler space in its food distribution center this year.
General admission and VIP tickets for “An Evening in Good Taste” can be purchased online. VIP ticket holders will gain early entry to the event at 6:00 p.m., enjoy access to the Savor outdoor patio and sample exclusive tasting opportunities. VIP tickets are limited and are expected to sell out quickly, based on last year’s event.
The event is being curated alongside The Westchester, IntoxiKate and Westchester Magazine, the evening’s media sponsor, in partnership with Feeding Westchester’s Event Committee, co-chaired by Lou Gallo, Wells Fargo; and Michael Wilson, Wilson & Son Jewelers.
