Children and adults from all walks of life go hungry, in every community.

Although Westchester is a wealthy area, wages remain low and stagnant for the working poor, and the cost of living continues to rise. With fixed expenses like rent and childcare, groceries are often the first family expense to be cut.

Many people don’t have access to food they need to thrive. Together, our mission is to change that.

We are at the heart of a network that expertly sources and distributes food and resources for children, seniors, and families throughout Westchester.

Financials

Feeding Westchester is an independent, registered nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.

For many of our neighbors, the availability of affordable, nutritious food is elemental to their emotional and physical survival. It is within our power to not only feed those in need, but to provide them with resources and hope for better days ahead.

Our partnership with Feeding America

Feeding Westchester is a member of Feeding America, the nationwide nonprofit network of more than 200 food banks serving every state in the United States. Our membership gives us access to millions of pounds of donated food products from national companies in addition to gaining access to training and other resources that help us maximize our efficiency in delivering our services to the members of our community in need. We are proud to be part of the top 10 percent of Feeding America’s member food banks for distributing nutritious food to our neighbors.
