Our Work Fighting Hunger
Our work brings nutritious food to children, seniors, and families across Westchester through programs, partnerships, and county-wide food distribution.
Our Work
The Programs Behind Our Mission
At Feeding Westchester, our mission is to nourish our neighbors in the fight against hunger. We work hand-in-hand with 175 community partners across Westchester — including food pantries, school pantries, meal programs, shelters, and specialized nutrition initiatives that meet families where they are.
Every month, we support an average of 222,000 neighbor visits, including 71,000 child visits and 42,000 senior visits. We distributed 21.3 million pounds of food—the equivalent of 17.7 million meals—including 8 million pounds of fresh produce and 5.5 million pounds of good, nutritious food recovered, alongside proteins, grains, and culturally meaningful foods that help families eat with dignity.
Our work is rooted in partnership, powered by community, and guided by the belief that no neighbor should face hunger alone.
If your organization is interested in partnering with us to support food access in your community, we welcome the opportunity to connect. You can complete our Partner Interest Form below and a member of our team will follow up with you.

41% of Westchester Households Cannot Afford the Basic Cost of Living
Rising costs are putting pressure on working families, seniors, and individuals across Westchester. Many households earn above the federal poverty level but still cannot afford essentials such as housing, food, healthcare, childcare, transportation, and technology.
