Sean first learned about Feeding Westchester through his dad, who had volunteered at the organization and brought home a flyer about opportunities for students. Already familiar with hunger relief from volunteering at his school pantry, Sean decided to get involved in a bigger way—by designing and donating custom bags filled with essentials.

“I knew the food pantry in my school helped kids, and I thought doing that but on a bigger scale would be more impactful,” Sean said.

Sean hopes the bags bring joy and encouragement to families facing hunger. “I hope it makes them a little happier,” he shared.

One of the most meaningful parts of the project was coming to Feeding Westchester’s Distribution Center to assemble the bags. “Everyone there had the same goal,” Sean said. “I think all kids deserve to have food and toiletries they need. It’s not their fault they don’t have them. It meant a lot that my family and friends donated.”

Sean’s commitment shows the power of young people making a difference. By turning a school experience into community action, he’s helping ensure more children and families in Westchester have what they need to thrive.
