SUMMARY:Stuff-a-Bus Food Drive
DESCRIPTION:Stop & Shop and the Westchester County Bee Line Bus System will be hosting their 3rd annual Stuff-a-Bus Food Drive this November 5 – 11\, 2021. This year\, Westchester County Government’s SMART Commute Program joins Feeding Westchester and Stop & Shop to support the effort. \nDonation bins will be set up at all 14 Westchester Stop & Shop stores Friday\, November 5 to Thursday\, November 11\, to accept non-perishable food donations. After which\, the donations will be distributed to Feeding Westchester’s community partners and programs that have been assigned to each store.  \nWith rising costs of heating oil\, gasoline\, food\, and food supply shortages\, dollars are being stretched for our neighbors in need. \nYour generous support is is needed now — and will make an immediate impact by providing food — and hope — for families who are struggling. \nThe most-needed items are: \n\n• Stuffing\n• Cranberry Sauce\n• Corn Muffin Mix\n• Boxed Macaroni and Cheese\n• Gravy\, either canned or mix\n• Canned Green Beans or mixed vegetables or corn\n• Instant Mashed Potatoes\n• Canned Sweet Potatoes\n• Pie Filling (apple or pumpkin) or cake mix\n• Canned or dried fruit\n• Juice\n\nAll items should be nonperishable. No glass containers or pre-opened items will be accepted. Stop and Shop locations can be found in the following Westchester locations: \n\n• Dobbs Ferry\n• Eastchester\n• Mamaroneck\n• Mount Kisco\n• Mount Vernon\n• New Rochelle on Palmer Ave.\n• North White Plains\n• Ossining\n• Peekskill\n• Port Chester\n• Somers\n• Tarrytown\n• White Plains\n• Yonkers\n\nLast year\, the drive brought in over 11\,000 lbs. of holidays foods for our communities and continues to grow in success.  \n
