Feeding Westchester is proud to be partnering with ARTSWestchester during Jazz Fest for our “Empty Bowls” event. With the help of our generous and talented community members\, we will be showcasing one-of-a-kind handmade bowls available for a donation –  along with delicious snacks provided by our sponsor Stop & Shop\, throughout Jazz Fest activities. Each bowl will serve as a symbol of our 200\,000 neighbors struggling with hunger. Every $1 donated provides 4 meals for children\, families\, and seniors in our community. \nBe sure to stop by our booth to select your very own hand-made artisan bowl and enjoy the festival\, all while supporting Feeding Westchester! \n  \nPete Malinverni & the SUNY Purchase Jazz All-Stars | Noon – 12:45pm \n  \nJay Hoggard Quartet | 1:05 – 1:50pm\nBorn and raised in Mount Vernon (NY)\, internationally acclaimed vibraphonist Jay Hoggard leads his ensemble through explorations of swing\, bop\, straight ahead jazz\, the avant-gard and beyond. \n  \nSamba New York! | 2:10 – 3pm\nAn internationally recognized samba company\, Samba New York! has helped to change the culture of New York City and beyond through the joyful music and dance of Brazil. \n  \nLakecia Benjamin & Soulsquad | 3:30 – 4:10pm\nCharismatic and dynamic saxophonist/bandleader Lakecia Benjamin’s electric stage presence and fiery sax work\, has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder\, Alicia Keys\, The Roots\, Macy Gray and many others. She brings the soul and funk up to a feverish putch that’s guaranteed to keep crowds dancing day or night. \n  \nMarquis Hill Blacktet | 4:30-5:30pm\nChicago native trumpter and composer Marquis Hill is widely recignized as one of the preeminent voices on the instrucments of his generation. Winner of the 2014 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Trumpet Competition\, Hill has described as “a dauntingly skilled trumpeter” (New York Times) whose “music crystallizes the hard-hitting\, hard-swinging spirit of Chicago jazz” (Chicago Tribune). \n
